LOL. That kind of pay rise should surely trigger a flood of the world's disadvantaged to find their way to NZ. Probably $200 mill people in the US alone earn less than that. Should increase the profitability of the 500,000 small businesses that employ less than 50 people....NOT... Nothing like the backbone of the NZ economy without a backbone.... I'm betting long on the Kiwi after this kind of news! Opposites attract, as has done with all Kiwi Aussie news over the last 2 years. NZD could be $0.70c against USD by the weekend. Wealth sharing is good for the forced distribution of money from those that want to those that need....This process creates a government organised structure where eventually everyone "needs"...Always thought it might be nice to live in a Greek Isles...with a hint of Communism, in the south Pacific....anyone smell the trigger for hyperinflation

Thanks .... maybe the teacher there might get 17.70 and hour and the taxi driver that takes me there the same. When I have a break in the remedial reading class i might have to pop out and get a coffee from the cafe where the staff all earn 17.70...get my car out of the carpark where the attendant is also on 17.70 and take it to the gas station where the gas station staff all earn 17.70. When i go to pay the gas will also be $17.70 per litre as the critical mass effect on the kiwi dollar will have devalued the currency so much we will be fighting Argentina and South Africa for fastest devaluing currency award.

But like the good old days in Cuba the 17.70 dollars an hour will only be $2usd equivalent and everyone in NZ will be stuck there like flightless birds...wot ...wait...that's what they are?

NZ has the three headed monster running the show.NZ needs major motorways from top to bottom.This makes sense as working people can get to work,increase productivity mean business can grow.No they want to rebuild the old train system which was sold by them.To a Aussie trucking company which,had no interest in Tommy the tank engine with no paying passengers.They also signed up to the crazy UN deal which will go down like a lead balloon with Jumping Jack.The wheels have not fallen off yet,but Unions are making some big noises about wages an strikes.NZ is very expensive,the cost off everything has gone up.Promising the world an delivering nothing won't go down well with the voters.
