  • US midterm elections: FiveThirtyEight shows 53.8% probability of Democrats winning House

    According to FiveThirtyEight, Democrats now have a 53.8% chance of winning the control of the House compared to earlier forecast of 90%. The initial market reaction to this development allowed the greenback to gather strength against its rivals with the US Dollar Index rallying toward mid-96s. As of writing, the index was up 0.06% on the day at 96.33.

Without getting in to the politics of it (and speaking purely on FX terms) that would be good for the USD. It would probably go through the roof!

I didn't have fx in mind...just talking politics.

But anyway, fx will keep following the regular chart patters...no matter who wins.
