Today he stood up and testified under oath that Donald Trump directed him to commit a crime by making payments to two women for the principal purpose of influencing an election. If those payments were a crime for Michael Cohen, then why wouldn't they be a crime for Donald Trump?

Da feds got Cohen on tax evasion and bank fraud. Cohen took a plea deal for a reduced sentence on charges for tax evasion and bank fraud. He agreed to plead guilty for a non-crime that admitted he paid stormy to impact the election. The actual document reads "candidate -1". It doesn't even give Trump's name. The whole thing stinks and actually looks as if Cohen did it on behalf of another candidate and they were attempting to make everyone assume it was for Trump.

Paying gold diggers is not a crime. Paying gold diggers is not campaign fraud. Cohen admitted that he paid the gold diggers. There was no campaign fraud except wherein Cohen donated too much to Trump and it wasn't a significant amount, but just as illegal. The whole thing is hogwash.

Just because something is inconvenient and/or potentially harmful doesn't in and of itself make it Fake - to be Fake it needs to be a made up story that has no foundation in truth or reality.
In this case, he was found guilty in a court of law and kinda pointed the finger. It is up to the legal system and its various processes to establish IF and to what extent there is a case to answer. We will see...

What's Fake here is the over the top CNBC and Forex Factory headline with its word "catastrophic". If i recall CNBC also considered President Trump's 2016 election to be "catastrophic".

Not being American Im not totally familiar with US Law.(Like 90% of FF site Visitors) so Im sure were all puzzled...
How do you get to plead guilty for a "non-crime"? Does US have many Federal "non-crimes"?

If thats they way they hope to get Trump it means two things: A) they dont have anything else worthwhile, B) they are really desperate? Now imagine if they were attempting to find a crime that you committed and they got around it in this fashion, would you be okay with it?

Right now, Trump is an unindicted co-conspirator in 2 federal separate cases. (Nixon was only unindicted in one case). No one is desperate, no one is out to "get Trump." He's pretty much done all the damage himself. The fact of the matter is, as of now, it is unclear if you can indict a president. So the job of dealing with a dirty president is left to congress. Right now, congress is controlled by Trump's party, and a lot of the leadership are embroiled in the same dirty scandal. So the party protects him in any way possible. But one has to face the fact that facts are seeing the light of day.

Maybe the motivation to pay off the women was to protect his marriage rather than to influence an election? The sad truth is, those who have the power to decide to prosecute for something as silly as paying prostitutes is just another example of how politicians screw with those they don't like.

Bank fraud in one thing. Filing false income tax returns is one thing. Men paying women for sex is another. Kennedy was screwing Marilyn, Bill was getting blow jobs in the oval office, and who gives a damn (other than his wife) that Trump likes sex.
