Can't disagree with this headline. Emphasis on the new rather than trying to maintain the old relationship via the backdoor. But to build anew we need to be out of the old!

Yes and the ex wife says fantastic, the freedom!
I do not have to live under your misguided rules anymore.
I can also date Asia.
I can see anyone I like,in the world.
She does wonder why, you still keep coming round though, trying to sell her that BMW and Champagne.

That is a very good point. The rest of the world will not find her so unattractive.

And she will no longer have to make billions and billions of pounds in annual contributions to top up the household income.
"Happy wife, Happy life".
Come with me if you want to live....

And if she goes through the WTO , she gets to keep her divorce settlement monies, another 50 bil to start her new life. Anyone that wants to come and stay with her, does not now have carte blanche from her ex husband, she decides whether they can visit and stay.

Just wish they stop pratting about - get on with Brexit. Leave EU and make England great again. Asia and the rest of the world is waiting and the English people would like to experience once again their freedom from paying billions for nothing.

Put those monies to where they are needed. People get old, they retire, they need medical attention - at least free medications, kids need proper education... English people need proper housing... there are loads of places were the govt. can place the money they can save once they bolted out from EU.

Get on with it!

Trouble is, too many in the establishment that have a vested interest in maintenance of the status quo are doing their level best to prevent it happening (while paying lip service to the will of the people...)

I've added conniving to the list of my definition for a politician (goes with lying, cheating, thieving and backstabbing along with a question mark over parentage...)

I've yet to be proved wrong!

Barkie, you never cease to amaze me....Trust me, if the UK were to say, "we want back into the EU today!" The EU would JUMP head over heels to take them! The EU is basically just Germany with the others along for the ride. In order to be a powerhouse they need the UK, without the UK they will gravitate to China who will "pick clean the bones of the EU".
...because you never know - until you do!

Wayne, SERIOUSLY? You're intelligent enough to know those politicans who have their hands in the cookie jar, along with the megacorporations who are based in the USA/UK that want the lowered tariffs for their goods and services in Germany, Italy, Spain, etc.,

Again a rhetorical question! We ALL know that the EU is tenuous at best and if they don't appear to "punish" the UK for leaving then it opens the flood gates to other countries abandoning ship! Greece should have left in 2015, gone back to the Drachma, devalued their currency and they would be in much better financial shape now!

The EU is a house of cards held together by Brussels. It's HARD to get people to co-operate.

Look what happened to the old Soviet Union...

In fact it's beginning to occur in the USA. California wan't to split into three different states.
...because you never know - until you do!

If it is such a great club, why worry about anyone else leaving. My golf club is good, I do not want to leave, if I do, they shall not demand next years fees. The EU predict doom and gloom for the UK, they can just wait until we fail when outside the flawed club, that can be the lesson to the member states considering taking the high road. When we leave and thrive, then the EU shall have an even bigger problem.
I had not realised that about Californian , very interesting.

You are correct about what will happen 2 years AFTER Brexit and the UK ascends while the EU descends...Countries will stampede for the exits....

California has a ballot initiative to break into a northern CA, Southern CA and CA. It's on the ballot to be voted upon by Californian's It was drafted by a silicon valley rich dude who's tired of paying way too much in taxes for the free loading people of downtown LA and San Francisco who live off the government teet

That is very interesting. I have always thought it a great idea that the individual states are autonomous to a certain degree, I wish we had that in the UK. I shall have to read about Californian. It does not, on the face of it, sound very viable to me, splitting tax revenues it into 3, however desirable, though I can appreciate his point of view.
