    From @realDonaldTrump

It's not only Pakistan that we pay billions of dollars to for nothing, but also many other countries, and others. As an example, we pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue...

    From @realDonaldTrump

...peace treaty with Israel. We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?

Case about Pakistan is valid. They have done little combating Taliban.
If my hard earned tax dollars go to a country in billions I expect serious effort in return otherwise we are becoming cash cow for host of countries that care less about USA interests.
Say what you want about Trump at least he wants results for money spent its called accountability!

In July, Mattis suspended payments to Pakistan from the Coalition Support Fund, which the United States uses to reimburse countries for counterterrorism operations. The Pentagon said it would not resume payments until the defense secretary could certify that Islamabad had taken sufficient action against the Haqqani network and other militants who cross into Afghanistan from sanctuaries in Pakistan.

The following month, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened even further cuts to assistance to Pakistan over allegations its government harbored Taliban and other militant groups operating in Afghanistan.

In his talks with Pakistan’s political, military, and intelligence leaders, Mattis said Pakistan had a crucial role to play in promoting peace talks for Afghanistan and “reiterated that Pakistan must redouble its efforts to confront militants and terrorists operating within the country,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
Lt. Col. Michael Andrews, a Pentagon spokesman, said payments to Pakistan from the fund are still frozen, and that “Secretary Mattis has not yet made a decision on the certification required” by Congress to release the $400 million in counterterrorism funds for Pakistan in fiscal 2017.

Another $650 million in payments that Pakistan would have received for the prior two fiscal years have already been “reprogrammed and are no longer available to Pakistan,” Andrews said.

The suspension may not be lifted for six months at the earliest, when fighting resumes in the summer months. U.S. officials say they will not be able to assess if Pakistan has made progress and fulfilled its promises to prevent the Haqqani militants from crossing into Afghanistan until then. The freeze on the reimbursement fund comes amid increasingly sharp rhetoric directed at Pakistan from the Trump administration, which has warned Islamabad it must take action against the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani fighters who are able to regroup and rearm in safe havens in Pakistan.

I totally disagree with these terms from trump, I am living in Pakistan from the day I born, and we seriously beared alot and doing our best to resolve the issue for militant, but on the other hand we never get appreciation that we deserved.

Our prime-minister and foreign delegates has been very vocal over the period of funding in proxies in pakistan supported from INDIA (kulbushan Yadav ) is a pure example of it but US and UN never listen to that, Than again we went to America and discuss please donot move your embassy to jersulum this will hurt the sentiments of muslims and militant all over the world and in return we received the threats from america, I am certain world at large can settle this talibination matter very easily but with positive attitude and dialogue, Remember what happen to the commission in england against tony blair (ex prime ) regarding IRAN , we really need to solve this problem after being on a single table.

Furthermore this attitude of america will further detoriate the relationship between pakistan america and world, The tweets game from Trump is hurting the world, He calls the leader of NORTH KOREA as FAT BOY and other freaky words. I believe that america will be in serious trouble in near future if trump and his team continue like this.

United States is like a typical New York businessman. When they are trying to get something from you, they always make you feel that you are the one who's getting the better end of the deal. It's only when you are executing the deal you realize how much more you have to do and be paying for everything that you thought that you are supposed to be getting RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING. Once you sign the deal, everything is too late. So the way you need to deal with USA is that you have to be VERY VERY VERY clear and SPECIFIC about the boundaries and limits of what you will be doing and will not be doing for EXACTLY what you will be getting and ALWAYS include an exit where you can get out at any time under specific circumstances. It's only when you do that you MIGHT have a chance surviving from a deal with the USA otherwise you would just end up having USA walking all over you demanding you to do more and more and more and more and they pay less and less and less and less.

It may sound hard to hear all this for the people living in these countries
and it is natural to begin hating the president for uttering such statements
however the citizen of the countries which are helped by USA must understand that in the first place
those Funds delivered by America are given to their Governments which are due to deal with it_
It is obvious why America needs to do this, as these are money
given to keep the peace and in the interest of security, and many
other humanitarian purposes_
US Government is just concerned that probably most of the money delivered
it is not used for the original purposes by the head of the governments

This is Aid money also given to support a country's Economy, or for financial
assistance and for military reasons and so many other purposes.
There are a few points that makes me not to fully agree with Trump President
however in this case it seems he is planning a cut in 2018 and probably
trying to reassess the whole situation_

Trump of course doesn't just tweet news like this on his own
these are facts that he is made aware of by his account departments, by
those who deal with the Us Debts and Us Budget who will inform him
of what's going on_

Of course Aid money will always be delivered to the more than 150 countries
which are on the US lists , but the President wants to know more in details
how this money it is being used.
More than the President also the American tax payers
want to know how this billions are spent by the governments who received them_
Perhaps the appreciation he is talking about is related to the: "Show me how the US Money
have been used" ... Have you dealt with the most primary needs of the country?
Have you respected our agreement ? Show Records for it. and so on_ Facts talk

Trump statements are not so diplomatic as the past presidents and we can all see that
however in this case it seems to me that this was a wake up call, so that finally
the interested parties will take action and will deliver more positive results_

A year in and so many are still clueless about Trump. What he is doing is working. Little rocket Man has toned down his bomb-astic (pun intended) rhetoric and is now wishing success for the Olympics in SK. Always the same with tyrants. Forcefulness is the only thing understood. Also the tweets are the sure way to get direct to the People bypassing the extremely biased media that has been 91% negative the first year.

Moving the embassy is of no importance to anyone. Jerusalem has always been the Israeli capital and the logical place for it. Palestinians have shown no desire for peace for 70 years. Trump is simply doing what was basically approved over 20 years ago.

Pakistan has always been in a difficult position. Militant Muslims in the mountains bordering Afghanistan, tensions and wars with India, both with nukes. It takes a strongman government to maintain any stability. It is naive to think aid is given without expectations attached. Trump is just not ignoring the lack of the quid pro quo being completed.

No offense, Tamoor68, but what have we gotten back from the $33billion in aid given to Pakistan? Why does Pakistan even need this in the first place? Couldn't you get that from fellow muslim countries like Iran and/or Saudi Arabia (and the rest of the UAE)?

$33 billion was insurance so Pakistani nuclear weapons don't fall into militant hands with sinister intentions towards the western world.

I don't think Trump even realizes this.

You're basically saying, we're giving them money and yet they hate us. Well yeah, but if you don't pay they will hate you even MORE and they got nukes and all that so keep the money flowing (btw pocket money compared to the crazy 300 trillion in unfunded liabilities you peoples have to deal with, I mean you gotta have priorities man).

@gespiri : seriously you are asking what you have gotten? first of all we havent received 33 Bn yet its not the correct figure that Mr Trump quoted, Even pakistani foreign minister asked America to have the audit for all those 15 years. Secondly you have gotten this money to use the route for NATO supplies in afghanistan. Remember in 2001 after 9-11 america has asked us only to use our routes for NATO supplies in afghanistan, But on the other hand look at what pakistan has suffered oover the year 70k+ killings 889 Blasts and more over named as one of the most unsecured place in the world. moreover the childhood we spent all these years you cant even imagine,

I am not saying we are not at fault , we might be but does we deserve to have these sort of language from our ally? What i feel the world heaviest and most powerful military , intelligence and heavy metals were not able to succeed in afghanistan and they are just putting this blame on pakistan.

"On Saudi Arabia" by Karen Elliot House, 2012, is a very well researched book. Not restricted solely to SA Pakistan is covered in some detail. From that there is basically a detente between the P government and the radical Islamic fundamentalists by giving them a large autonomous area adjoining Afghanistan. Major problems are the large number of Pakistan's supporting the radicals and that attacks either way can escalate quickly. In essence that autonomous region is the new Afghanistan.
