I mine Gridcoin with my trading computer.. Can be done with just CPU... if you have graphics card even better.
And the mining is also solving science problems. I got about 4000 coins last year with older gpu and I5 processor. 1 bitcoin would take me over 1200 years to mine, so not woth mining btc on home computer.

How did I come up with this analogy? I don't know! But, BC is like original sin. It torments one who invests in it until it is sold and then it torments only if one is imperfect to look back and regret and not see the lesson ...
