  • Trump economic 'uncertainty' worse than '08 financial crisis levels, index shows

    From cnbc.com

    • The election of President Trump is eclipsed only by the 9/11 terrorist attack and the battle over the fiscal cliff in 2011 in terms of generating doubt about future economic policy, according to the Economic Policy Uncertainty Index. • Increases "in policy uncertainty foreshadow declines in investment, output, and employment in the United States," the three professors who created the index wrote in a 2016 paper. • They do not say recession necessarily follows, only that there is a measurable economic effect from uncertainty, and they urge lawmakers to keep that in mind. They are going to suffer from the 'boy who cried wolf' syndrome. No one will believe them, even if they happen to write something remotely true.

At some point, the constant saturation of anti Trump media mantra is going to stink of BS. The most powerful tool of influence, information and its' control, couldn't keep him out of the Whitehouse and they don't like it.

Investigations continue....

What would be hilarious is if Trump is cleared of all wrong doing in all aspects. The media vitriol will of course continue but they will simply be digging their own grave as Trump will be laughing all the way to a 2nd term on the back of his justified call of "Fake News" lol....

and the MSM will lose even more public relevance (if that were possible)....

Ditto Ill-be-back. The biggest threat to anyone in the investigations is what happened to Scooter Libby. Nothing found that was investigated for but perjury.

In our society, real power does not happen to lie in the political system, it lies in the private economy: that’s where the decisions are made about what’s produced, how much is produced, what’s consumed, where investment takes place, who has jobs, who controls the resources, and so on and so forth. And as long as that remains the case, changes inside the political system can make some difference-I don’t want to say it’s zero-but the differences are going to be very slight.

It's funny how reporting the reality is "anti-trump mantra". Coming straight from /r/the_donald?

I think is going to take another year and a half to tow years before the next crash. I might be slightly off with the timing but it will happen, it always does.
But for some ad reason it almost always happens under a republican president.
Surely that's got to be a coincidence.

From the article

* The index measures the occurrence in newspaper articles of words related to economic uncertainty and politics *.

Seems the more the news is fake the worse this so called index will be. Not a very good barometer for predicting economic possibilities in this age of propaganda *journalism*.
