Well actually, now we have x million eu people living and working here who we will have to support in health care schools, pensions etc. Should the UK not be seeking a humongous chunk of cash from the EU to cover this ongoing expenditure. Also assuming they have payed their equivalent of tax and National Insurance over their working years into their then countries coffers. Maybe that money should be paid over to the UK which is now their country of residence????

Or, maybe, their healthcare, Welfare Benefits and Pensions etc, should be paid by their country of origin???

Just a thought.

Absolutely Germany, we cough up, just as soon as you pay up for all the reparations from WW1 & WW2 , not just to the UK but also, Greece, Portugal, France (the list is fairly long now isn't it !!)

Might I suggest a complete ban on German imports ?

It's a 2 way street buddy, got a funny feeling you're about to find that out

Ahh, I am starting to smell the desperation! Seems Germany's plan to rule the world via fiat currency with their scheme of plutocratic henchmen are becoming exposed. I love when a plan with such nefarious intentions begins to implode and unravel! Can't cover the cooked books by way of creating more debt, so why not take advantage of BREXIT loopholes to negotiate a better payoff as an excuse?

As the saying goes, "You can fool some people some time but you can't fool all the people all the time"! They haven't gotten the memo yet!

The correct response to that suggestion is Foxtrot Oscar. And as NewtonsCash said "just as soon as you pay up for all the reparations from WW1 & WW2" well think about it.

This is so very true and the rest of the European electorate are beginning to realise how the EU is trampling all over them, yet the EU itself remains in denial

Probably the most sensible and least inflammatory way to approach this is to wait to see the composition of the claim and asset offset? Until we see that, discussion is inevitably partisan and unhelpful. As anyone with business experience will attest the unraveling of such issues are highly technical and legally defined. Speculation and politicization is nonsense. A reality unlikely to be respected by either political muppets on both sides, or sensation and controversy fed media. IMHO it should be left to the professional negotiators.

"Mitleid gibt´s umsonst, Neid muss man sich verdienen!"

thanks to uk for labeling german porducts as "made in germany". what was intended to shrink the sales of german products in 19th century has become the most popular label world wide due to the quality and safetyness:

according to international law, there are no open claims against the federal republic of germany. that said, i would agree that greece should get money due to the forced loan during nazi occupation - and only greece. maybe this can be deducted from the greek debts in an bilateral agreement.

According the the PM's legal advice, nothing is due to the EU either, so now the only question is "What is morally due" and in that context it is valid to bring up the the subject of war reparations

in your dreams. due to the 2+4-treaty, there is no legal base for claimes against germany. ask a lawyer if you are able to afford it - doubtful.
