  • Trade Talk Shows Trump, Merkel Have Little Common Ground

    Donald Trump’s and Angela Merkel’s rhetoric on global trade showed no sign that the two leaders are anywhere close to finding common ground. In their first meeting at the White House since Trump’s inauguration as president, Trump reprised his complaints that the U.S. had been treated “very, very unfairly” and poured loaded praise over German trade officials for besting their American counterparts. “The negotiators for Germany have done a far better job than the negotiators for the United States,” Trump told reporters in the East Room alongside Merkel Friday. “But hopefully we can even it out.” ... The public record on the thread appear to reveal the following..
1. In his original post @JakubSzalaFX revealed that he was Gay. He subsequently edited this out.
However not before the system recorded his original text in Post #9.
Mods then moved to hide #9
2. I have a high regard for the integrity of FF staff and management.
However some might interpret the above as evidence of homophobia.
Or the abuse of the "cleanup" facility by a member.
To restore confidence, FF might consider a clarification statement on this whole incident.

I for one believe that such deliberate manipulation as you describe..
merits immediate suspension of the perpetrator.
And a public apology. and retraction.

Twee was fair. He warned me to stick to financial discussion.
