Trump's Dodd-Frank Order May Not Be a Win For Wall Street
The Dodd-Frank Act, a 2010 law intended to reform our financial system, didn’t reform Wall Street. It failed to put the interests of consumers and taxpayers first. It traded economic potential for a false sense of security. And rather than reforming our system by preventing future Wall Street bailouts, it codified them. The president recently issued an Executive Order to review Dodd-Frank, as well as financial regulations and other measures. This is a good first step.
