The pound's post-Brexit pain isn't over yet

Markets already decided brexit wont happen, look at the stocks. Its just too bad for the elites, so just find a way to circumvent the will of the people.

Circumvent the will of the people will lead to resentment and revolution 52% of Brexit voters will not stand for backsliding elitist 'rulers' who led an OUT campaign only to backslide and deny what the majority voted for. The voters in this country have always been seen as sheep who will shrug their shoulders and accept whatever the elite dish out. This time it will be different methinks.

Brexit won't happen? Is it possible to reverse the result of a referendum?

The referendum is NOT legally binding on the government. It is advisory only. Furthermore, Brexit will require and Act of Parliament. What chance is there of that being passed by both houses? There are already subtle signs of the Brexiteers backsliding.

The EU is between a rock and a hard place. UK is the best single trading nation on the planet in terms of volume per person. UK has been trading for centuries. Worse case scenario they go back to what they know best....The EU on the other hand with UK out runs into all kinds of problems with their overall trading deals which were formed on the assumption the UK's contribution counts towards various quotas etc.

Am sure the Brits are happy to get back to deciding their own fishing quotas etc. After all as an island they should have more rights to greater fishing quotas than current restrictions permit.
The country just have to move forward instead of looking behind now!

But Cameroon will be gone in 2 moths.

Article 50 has NOT yet been triggered. The timing of that is for Cameron's successor to decide on in due course. Until that happens, the UK is still in the EU.

Anybody think referendum is just a game? If the outcome is unexpected, then it should be discarded?

The UK parliament must still vote on a Bill to repeal the European Communities Act 1972 before they can leave the EU and MP's will have to do their duty by voting according to their conscience and in the best interests of the UK. What chance is there that such a Bill will be passed by both houses?

Brexit is a joke! It is a mere academic exercise. The referendum is only morally binding and is of no legal consequence. The Parliament will never enact the necessary laws to allow UK exit EU unless there is a bloody public revolt. All the existing treaties between UK and EU are still binding on both parties. In addition, under European law, the EU cannot kick the UK out until June 2018.

The leave campaign never thought they would win and they have neither the plan nor the courage to see it through. They have realised that any attempt to push the outcome of the Referendum will only signal the end of UK. We are back to the status quo ante!

What you are saying may sound reasonable to you but what is missing is last centuries' history of Europe particularly the last 2 world wars. The Elephants in the room behind the vote out campaign.

I can see the end game now. The UK Parliament won't dare to carry through on a vote which might result in Scotland leaving the UK, and unrest in Northern Ireland – Sinn Fein are already asking for a referendum on the re-unification of Ireland – and they will go back to the EU with cap in hand and their tail between their legs saying, 'Sorry, we didn't really mean it. Can we stay in after all please?' Under these circumstances, the UK will lose any and all credibility and influence they ever had and will end up being subsumed into a European Super State, whether they like it or not! Welcome to the Fourth Reich!

Human affairs are way tougher than many realize or care to admit. This is why war and fighting cannot end. The key to the solution is to understand who/what we really are. Its really only a few people who have earthshaking experience and learn from it and come to the full realization that indeed as one of the wisest to walk the planet says…Vanities of vanities….all is vanity and a striving after wind.

Throughout history people keep killing each other people who dare to get in their way and impose their "wise" solution on others usually typically ignorantly or otherwise to get their own satisfaction….Sadly this is our human history. Many just sleep through it or hide from the "pain" of confronting it, reconciling themselves to it or otherwise deal with it in a practical way.

Surely there are solutions but the awareness of the solution cannot come to us while we keep thinking ideas originate with us. But as sure as neither light nor air originate with us, neither does ideas….they all come to us. An understanding of this will serve to realize how lowly our situation is allowing us to therefore appreciate more the significance of human life and the potential greatness that lie in each one….our March to appreciate the gift of life would have started. Clearly it can only be done at the individual level…..No one can teach anybody this since the teacher can only show when the student is ready!
