The big Aussie banks are reporting all these week. That's causing the swings in the index.

Fundamentally, the RBA needs to cut 2 more times for any flow on effect to economy, otherwise it's hot air as usual. Glen Stevens is no Draghi, when Mario says he'll pull out his bazooka he comes out firing with cannons, whereas Stevens pulls out his pop gun and fires wind from his rear.
For what it's worth, I believe the big players are marking up the AUD to sell around the rate announcement (.7700 looks good). If there is a cut, it may drop all the way back to .755, just MHO, if no cut then brief move up (maybe .7765), before more selling (profit taking) back to today's DO (.7665), IMHO.

seems like big boys knew about the RBA cut well ahead and started buying Australian banks despite bad ANZ results
