Lot of people here giving you advice, if you are still 'in' that was a good call although your entry point was a bit hopeful-looking.

Trend is up at the moment, make sure you are protected before 12:00 ET (7pm GMT) on Wednesday.

It will take a catastrophic event to stop a rate rise, imho.

I hope more traders think they'll be no rate hike. That should make the trading more interesting, and potentially more profitable for me.

The 16th will be interesting, I wouldn't bet my life the EUR is going to drop after all it is always about expecting the unexpected.

Brave move 'Pumuckel'....I see 1.10800 as the top of the range currently.
Fed have boxed themselves into a 0.25 point rate rise, I think most of the discussion now is how long before they go back to zero. Trades are very much weighted to the EURUSD short so it's just the market makers trying to squeeze everybody off the short side before the drop. I see 1.05 as a possibility.

In my view the EURUSD will 'range' between 1.094 and 1.104 until Thursday...trying to make my money by longing at the bottom and shorting at the top of this range...it's working OK for now, not being greedy but racking up some useful pips.

It is a matter of time dolar tanks again, american economy is not rdy for high rates and this is absurd. This is all speculation to suppress the comodities and drive the money out of there. This circuss is been going on for too long, even if there is rate hike, it is priced in 127 times into the market. Big US companies alrdy complain about strong dollar, dont forget who run America. Without them, no money for election campaings... Its all common sense.

Funny how about 10 days ago, everyone was yelling parity and shorted the hell out of €, now everybody is expecting a rate hike and $ falling to the ground, IMO no rate hake (they will talks themselves out like they always do)

real traders never speculate... traders react fast and that's it...

going into a historic event with an open position and without Stop Losses is just gamble your account like flipping a coin and expect to win, dont complaint when you get stuck or if you loose your account

---- if you are in the market short in favor of USD then be prepared to come out or hedge to cover with other assets correlated
---- if you are long in the market against the USD and your account cannot support a big draw-down then get out before or put a tight SL
---- if you are out then wait, dont speculate, the meeting will be live, load yourself with good insight data, watch the meeting, write down the statements and make an informed decision

remember these RULES (in no particular order)>

I'm long USD v eur, chf, and nzd on very small trades. I'll add if it goes in my favor. I'll reverse/hedge if it doesn't. I'll wait to choose until the rate news and then again when Ms Yellin says her piece.

buy eur/usd an eur/chf. I think eur raise in few days to 1.15... you will see...

I just hold. eur/usd will raise... I don't work with stop loss. I think eur/usd will raise above 1.15.

Unlike Draghi... Yellen likely values her credibility. It's only a freaking 1/4 point. And, yes, it's priced in long ago. But psychology is always the wild card with the hi-yield markets imploding.

Regarding communication style, I think Yellen is quite a conservative figure compared to people like Draghi. She definitely won't pull an ECB type move like Draghi did two Friday's ago. Luckily I went short on Eur/Usd in September and raked in the profits before the Euro climb 2 weeks ago. A .25 bid rate rise really isn't all that much. At this point they are testing the waters and I am definitely seeing a rate hike because of such strong economic data. The US having an energy boom at the moment and oil may possibly start rising in a year or so. If that happens then inflation should probably start occurring. The Chinese panic is over people. They are slowing down but Oil demand should resume.
