PPI and Core PPI came red. Why sell E/U? Is there any clue about news trading that I don't seem to understand? It's like you and the markey manipulators are acting the same scripts.

FED does not look at FF red or green. The truh is that retail sales rose after many months of decline. PPI is obvious, oil is near multi year low.

The overall effect was a SELL but with less push. Taking quick profit was the strategy that got me some pips.

It's because not everyhting so simple as you think. Just because news came worse than forcast it doesn't everytime mean bad. Look in the bigger picture. Last month Core Retail sales were negative, but now it's positive, so in overall picture there is progress in Retail sales, which gives more confidence for inflation..

Red flag does not necessary mean bad for that currency. Always check it against the Previous and not the expected only

Core Retail Sales m/m Expected
Actual is better than 0.2% 0.4% -0.4% Previous

PPI m/m
Actual is better than -0.4% 0.2% -0.5%Previous

Core PPI m/m
Actual is the same -0.3% 0.1% -0.3% Previous, the same

Yes, they do manipulate the market alot, hey, is just life.

Bottomline is that it didn't meet expectations which makes it disappointing judging from current terms and the frenzy about rate hike.

Exactly, my assumptions was that any negative data will not encourage rate hike in December and therefore it is/was a very strong USD sell signal...

exactly ... this is their current strategy ...

the US$ is the best selling product worldwide, so the higher the $ rate is, the higher is the profit ...

Also, the market forces at hand are for increased rates for US, meaning stronger USD. Conversely, the ECB is in negative interest rate mode. The tide is undeniable. Any deviation from this trend is an opportunity to obtain better pricing. This will continue to drive my decisions until the fed

... market forces ? ... lol

... they want us to believe that shit ... strong USD and weak EUR

... somehow it's funny that since a former Goldman Sachs top manager is heading the ECB the USD is getting stronger and stronger and the EURO is getting weaker and weaker even if most economic data in Europe are much better than in the US since 2 years

... have you heard about "currency war"? ... this is what is going on

Manipulator,, influencer, same difference. The end result is to just see the game. None of us are solvent enough to fight the tide, just be smart enough to flow with it. Further, if there is a full blown currency war, I hope to be a profiteer! Best of luck GK!
