  • EUR/USD: To 1.05, Parity, And Beyond - Goldman Sachs

    From efxnews.com

In a note to clients today, Goldman Sachs follows-up on its high-conviction call that the period of indecision for the Dollar from the March FOMC to recent ECB and Fed meetings, has ended and that the path of least resistance for EUR/USD is resuming its underlying bearish trend from here. “The Interlude,” as we call this period, was characterized by a Fed that shifted dovish after sharp Dollar gains in March and a subsequent Bund sell-off that, in our eyes, undercut the credibility of ECB QE. This week’s employment data have made December lift-off all but certain, validating the expectation of our US economics ... (full story)

I have recorded long list of the GS "predicaments" - most notably January 2013 gold was around $1750 - GS where "absolutely" convinced it will reach $2000 and "beyond" in 2 months. It fell to $1180 in 5-6 months - I guess someone still holds those paper gold bars at around $1750. Hell will freeze and Sun will be expelled before I believe any media announcement from this investment bank.

Well I would listen very closely to what they say, mainly because 90% of the time their right! They called the top of the Euro to within a few pips and my guess is they will do the same calling the bottom.

Goldman Sachs is just building up some of their financial products that has "floor" protection, as anyone can call doom/boom (it is not hard to publish when you are #GS)

The question is: How low before #China or #Russia step up and increase their currency reserves?

If #GS is so right, then http://bit.ly/eurusdmonthlyview we are trading +1200 pips to the downside from our current limits 1.0788 towards 0.9600 difficult to see this scenario in place, because it seems that everyone forgot that #US has not changed its excess debt and printing devaluates and destroys your currency. (one way or another)

True! short-term things are working out way different, but for how long? Time will tell, and again please! anyone of us can call a top or bottom if we work smart/hard enough it happens, but we can also be wrong and so all the professionals at #GS

The EU and the US are two ugly sisters overburdened with debt. However, economically one is doing much than the other better right now and short-term, I know which horse I am backing...

Current monthly PA agrees with the Giant Squid, but when my analysis agrees with efxnews publications, I ALWAYS take a second look.
10th time bitten, 11th time shy...
However, I wouldn't rule out a vicious bounce back to 1.14 region first to retest the weekly breakout 3 weeks ago as we bounce up from the 8th-15th March weekly TL

I back that decision because recent price needs one more clue of downside and Areas of 1.0900 and 1.0950 has given away the path to test the low and I have not find anything but a mere spike failed on hourly charts. But Technicals has to be backed by up force of strong money and You will soon see attempt to 1.0850 fails soon and we soon see 1.0700 and beyond . Sell the higher prices not here. I always believe that there is better chance of sell the rally and don't listen to anybody.
