3 Numbers: UK GDP sluggish; US durable goods, services PMI
Tuesday brings several key economic reports, including the first estimate of UK GDP for Q3. Later, two US numbers – durable goods orders and the Services PMI – will be closely scrutinised, to see if they offer any clues on how the recent slowdown is unfolding. UK: Q3 GDP (0930 GMT) Yesterday’s survey data for the manufacturing sector was surprisingly weak. The CBI Industrial Trends Survey show that orders for the three months through October slumped the most in three years.
