Fed's Powell: Has not decided whether or not to hike rates in September
Federal Reserve Gov. Jerome Powell appeared on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Wednesday, as investors search for clues to the thinking of central bankers on when they might hike interest rates for the first time in nine years. Powell votes on the Fed's policy-setting group, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart, also a FOMC voting member, is indicating support for a rate hike at next month, unless economic data between now and then take a dramatic turn for the worse.
