About that...well, most of us DON'T trade the weekends, so our session ends on Friday.

Honestly, this doesn't mean anything to us, except the massive spike it caused in the non-usd currencies. Good opprtunity to test a few shorts in my opinion, since the details of the news act outside our timeframes.

Just sold the cable and the geppy. I'm looking for a quick short to scalp.

Don't let this so-called "breaking news" mislead you in prevailing SELL EURO trend. Any spikes you see now are caused by temporary closure of majority of SELL EURO positions at such "breaking news". A deal with Greece means absorption of more problems in the Euro Zone and further weakening of Euro.

No, no, no. A deal with Greece means a better future for the Eurozone. It means that Germany get back her money and it's THE BEST SOLUTION FOR ALL. GREECE MUST STAY IN THE EUROZONE! There is no other solution. A 'Grexit' doesn't exist. This is why the salvation is the best thing for the EU.

You must first feed a young cow before it grows up and produces milk.

Greece's economy MUST be revived before Germany can see repayment of debts.

A deal today DOES NOT mean "end to all current problems", unless a decent portion of Greece's total debts is immediately written off...as suggested by IMF.

The markets might feel that the problem is over TODAY. That's why it could be breaking news for speculating traders today, and could explain UJ / stocks hike this morning.

Your right. But a Greece deal does mean a BETTER FUTURE for GREECE and all EU countries. Greece IS PART of the EU! Why throw out a family member? It's illogical. Now, we can see a deal and for sure it's the best solution for the EU, IMF, ECB, SNB. That's the truth.

EURUSD, in particular, is on a GREAT DOWNTREND towards 0.86xxx - 0.80xxx. There is nothing which can stop this from happening...even a deal with Greece.

What do you call salvation - fixing debt by throwing more debt at it? Kind of like fighting fire with fire, huh? I'm sure Germany wholeheartedly agrees with you, that's why the deal is a slam dunk... and if there's a deal, then what - Greece is saved forever, just like the rest of Europe? Until a year from now the whole thing repeats like a broken record.

Seek therapy.

Salvation does mean that Greece remains in the EU and the Euro remains as currency in Greece. And Greece will pay back the money to Germany, little by little. This is a first step, maybe there is a agreement for a cut of their debt. BUT IMPORTANT IS, THST GREECE REMAINS IN THE EUROZONE AND THE EURO REMAINS THE CURRENCY IN GREECE.

EURUSD 2015 has failed to make a new high on Monthly chart. Having said that it's not made any new lows either - partly due to negative data out of the States.

There was an opportunity at the start of this week with that Inverted Hammer weekly candle stick formation (last weeks close) on near term support. So with the news of a deal with Greece - the speculators would be jumping for joy and Price has moved higher on that outcome. Will it sustain this momentum is another story
altogether.

Not been out of that 3 month range. Either way - sitting on the fence waiting for a better confirmation. Patiently waiting...

I agree with pipscrapper here.

if you look at 5 year data, its clear that the current price is actually still in range. Slightly undervalued as opposed to the dollar that's slightly overvalued.

The FED have openly said that it doesn't want the USD to remain overvalued as it hurts them. Once the fundamentals die back down and the technicals start to re-align there is only one way for the euro to go.

No one can predict, just give best guess. For me, everything shouting return to EUR bull run.

I'm not saying now is the time to buy but it's 100% not the time to look short.

Maybe in the short term Greece may change this view, but med/long term I am long on this pair.

Guys,

I wanna give you all a massive tip. IT DOESNT MATTER if the euro is long or short over the weekend. You're not buying currency, at best you're buying futures or CfD's (kind of). you're SPECULATING.

Before market close open a BUY STOP pending order and a SELL STOP pending order 30pips or so from the current price.

That way, it doesnt matter which way it goes, it will open the pending order in either direction and you will catch the movement.

you'd be very unlucky for it to trigger both, delete the pending order that doesn't trigger Sunday night.

Lose the need to be right / predict/ control the market. Just make money, who cares if or why.

trade what is.

a 60 pip spread?

I suppose it is possible, have to admit its never happened to me. ..

I guess you could open the pending order 45pips from current price. then you got 90 pip safety zone..

I trade like this a lot. I've never double triggered

Don't know man if this deal is going to workout good for EU and Greece. I mean for the last 5 years on austerity and bailouts after bailouts and a fat haircut thrown in, Greece's economy really didn't take off and fly. So what's the difference in the next 5 years? Its going to be the same painful sore, bailout after bailout, negotiations and more negotiations, Greece will just go deeper and deeper into the abyss of debt and will never get out. Agreed if this deal works through it is not the end of the EU's problem or of Greece either; its a continuation of bigger ones to come.

Spain, Italy and Portugal must be celebrating this as they know now they can get their debt forgiven is Greece is allowed to get theirs written down. There are countries that are bottomless pits and Greece is one of them. Countvries better start living within their means.

Since they've been paying back an unstustainable amount of money maybe the imf should review itself, before greece asks for a rebate

a 60 pip spread?

I suppose it is possible, have to admit its never happened to me. ..

I guess you could open the pending order 45pips from current price. then you got 90 pip safety zone..

I trade like this a lot. I've never double triggered

If there is a gap the order will be executed there, not where it was placed. So, if the gap gates filled the position is in negative territory.

A gap is no mans land. So, it may be better to do the opposite. It executes at the gap. But, if the price continues in that direction, than the the trade goes red.

Trading is a gamble.

I always knew this iumoron is idiot, even I added him and skype and tried to make him understand that this kind of scams wont last long and instead of these scams he should work sincerely on trading and get clients with true intentions, but as a classic scammer he didn't understood, deleted my skype name and never bother to come back for chat again. those who are thing to do business with this person please be careful.
