  • The 'dots' signal that rate hikes are coming

    The Federal Reserve just released its most recent statement on monetary policy. In addition to the statement, the FOMC released its projections on where it thinks the economy will be heading in the next few years. The dot plot, part of the FOMC's Summary of Economic Projections released with the policy-decision statement, shows where each participant in the meeting thinks the federal funds rate should be at the end of the year for the next few years and beyond. Well they can bluff a rate hike, however it will mean the collapse of the stock market along with the bond market. Which will just mean QE4,5,6 and so on.
And if I am reading the dot plot right, (amateur eyeballing), the June projection /expectation of future rate increases seem to be lower than the March projection levels.
Chicken little: "the rate hikes are coming the rate hikes are coming". Eventually, yes the FED will raise rates. The charts will indicate when that is long before the news.
