Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in March suggests that economic growth slowed during the winter months, in part reflecting transitory factors. The pace of job gains moderated, and the unemployment rate remained steady. A range of labor market indicators suggests that underutilization of labor resources was little changed. Growth in household spending declined; households' real incomes rose strongly, partly reflecting earlier declines in energy prices, and consumer sentiment remains high. Aman4forex, I made a remark earlier this day that Eur completed a double bottom on weekly and that Eur is set for a run higher. Crosses on very short term moving averages are very useful no matter what period you're looking at.

Yep, this is precisely what Bernanke said.
And it is what they are doing.
Nothing has changed.
One thing though, the US acted far more aggressively early on than the UK and Europe with regards to rates and printing.
The now Emerging divergence between the currencies likely to strengthen $ in my opinion even without a hike, particularly if UK deflationary fears continue and ECB keep their program going.

This has been the rate since past few months but ironically EURO has been strengthening.. So can't say its TOTALLY a good reason for USD rally.

To get clues on where the monthly bars end up, you need to look at the daily bars. (even if I have good idea, it's never certain and the idea could be invalidated any day)

No one will give full picture on how to play short term as the competition is other traders and market makers. eg. If I gave you my idea and then you'd bet big on it, the idea would turn against us because if we both bet big, it's going to be too big in total and turn against us. This is why 100% of public trading systems fail - provided they get followers with live accounts. If everyone starts betting that they fail then they don't fail if the system is good.

Most important learning in trading: How much you can bet & risk, when is the best time (not as important if you average like big boys do), which market has good condition to trade, after you have built your position/went all in, being able to interpret if the probabilities of success have changed.

If you ta take a look at the monthly chart, you will see that huge bearish double top pattern.

Didn't you see the 200 pip move today before it? "no rate hike any time soon" has been priced in and it was being priced in for a while. Nothing new today.

Time to get back to Greek drama.

Exactly baker, This is not the time to trade but as euro was climibing since the start of the week, It was understood what will happen this wednesday.

Otherwise how the hell institutions can buy euro ahead of FOMC because they new no surprises as data was deteriorating but for me I would trade surely the next two days with strong and clear swings.

You need a trading system that gives you better levels of entry, stops and of course, targets. However, that said the markets always go crazy when important news is released so you need to take that into account if you're in the market on those days. Even with the system I follow, which is pretty good, I stay out of the market on days like non farm because the moves there are even worse than today
