US durable goods orders preview
The Commerce Department releases its March report on durable goods orders Friday at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. ORDERS UP: The expectation is that orders increased 0.8 percent last month, according to a survey of private economists by data firm FactSet. SOFT PATCH: In February, orders to U.S. factories for long-lasting manufactured goods fell 1.4 percent, adding to a stream of disappointing data for the first quarter that suggests the economy hit a soft patch.
