As I mentioned on another post, the bar wasn't set too high with expectations of only 5.3k! It's easy to beat such low expectations!

I agree....8250 area will be interesting since it was Monday's Highs and the 4hr 200ema roughly. Just depends on what the Market Makers order books are like on weather they stop there or not. If the majority try shorting up there, then the market makers will probably go even higher to stop them out. Or they could trip some longs on a break above and then go short.

Always have a plan on where you'll enter and exit(make sure there is an exit plan for both good and bad trades!!!!).

Just something to think about....If you look at January 2014, Aussie sold off that month and put in it's low...then for the next several months(through the summer) it did nothing but rally. It's not confirmed yet, but looks like a possibility the same thing is happening this year! Just keep an eye out and trade smart!

The news has made price spiked up from 200 EMA (1HR). I am expecting it a break, Lets see where this candle closes. I have both short and long trade opened. Will take profit first once the price is settled .

I re-entered a short at 0.82164. Still bearish on Aussie due to the RBA's keenness for 0.75 US in the long run.

Aussie seen gains on slightly better than expected employment figures.
USD temporarily bearish due to disappointing retail sales.

If PPI and unemployment is as expected for the US, then i expect AUD/USD to resume its bearish course.

Classic short play developing at 0.8250 for the primary pair. The 200ema on the 4Hr is currently 0.8251, so I'll be shorting at 0.8255 with a stop above the daily 50 ema at 0.8340, target the 2008 major support at 0.7930 but taking 50% profit at 0.8020.

If there is a shorting opportunity I believe Deano9999 is right about .8250 level, .8250 is just kinda sitting up there all by itself so that's where the orders will be sitting that the banksters will go after.

That was an easy 50pips. When the normal adr on a/u is 100pips, and price rallies nearly 150...and hours the daily 50ma for the first time in a while...you should be able too make some profit.

very disappointing movement after having such news, looks like mkt will go down again not a trend changer movement, but the news can be. need to short aud again looking for better entry point.

Fundamental imbalance between reality and sentiment. Whoever thinks the US will raise rates should consider the ~18 Trillion national debt. It's pretty hilarious how we so easily forget the clear erosion of USD as a reserve currency. It's a long process but ahhh forget it.

The Metals and coal story is not something that is NEW. So what you're saying is that the market is not efficient. It does not know that the prices of iron ore, coal, copper etc have dropped? Did you look that the prices of silver and gold have gone up recently? Perhaps if we look and see that many major powers are looking at devaluation it might make sense.

Can we continuously devalue a currency and have it march upwards? Such is the case in the US. Why not Japan also? There is a fundamental difference between Japan and the US. We can sell Alaska to the chinese for 18 trillion and balance our budget. Or we can use finance to lower everyone's standard of living on a gradual scale, like when you slowly heat the water that a frog sits in. It never realizes that he's cooked until it's too late. Kinda the same idea. So since we can't sell Alaska, we are going to do what Japan did for 20 years and just devalue currency in hopes that our people will wake up and create value. We just put teasers in there once in a while saying "We look to return to normal monetary policy." The problem is that we have built a house of cards and there is no way to return to normal policy. I wonder how long it will take for markets to realize that! Right now markets have priced in the US economy spinning like a top. It really is funny.

Maybe .8250 but traders have added $4bn to their short positions --largest since Feb 2014, so bull move will be short lived closing @ 0.79 1Q besides USD is still 2 strong.

Do you realize there is no reason to short AUD? This is just plain groupthink. Let big banks tell us what will happen next after they position themselves.
