S&P hits fresh record as insatiable appetite for risk continues
The main US stock averages are continuing to achieve fresh record highs without much resistance. The S&P 500, for example, climbed to a new unchartered territory of 2050 just after the open, before pulling back slightly. The chances are it will have surpassed that level by the time I finish writing this article. Investors’ insatiable appetite for equities is understandable to some degree because yields are universally so low. Although the Federal Reserve has ended its quantitative easing program, some of the other major central banks have expanded theirs, or at least promised to do so if and when needed. In ...
