    The Federal Reserve should consider delaying the end of its bond purchase program to halt the decline in inflation expectations, said St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President James Bullard. Speaking in an interview today with Bloomberg News, Bullard said U.S. economic fundamentals remain strong and he blamed the market turmoil on downgrades in the outlook for Europe. “Inflation expectations are declining in the U.S.,” he said. “That’s an important consideration for a central bank. Nice One! Besides it is an error to think that the market will because of this view revise a trend that already is downfalling but correcting at this time to the upside. He is doing his job and doing it very well thinking about the economic well being of americans and not the whims of fancy two bit traders. He did not create the need for profit taking and other rebalancing prerequisites that define the current correction. It is nonsense to think that price moves in a straight line and that because the US economy is in recovery all other currencies should sell to zero (which by the way ends all trading were it possible). Any trader worth his salt knows that corrections are a part of business and once on exploit it without emotions. Bullard is making a lot of sense if you understand his point of view given the technicalities of how the rate of inflation affects things. I say kudos to a guy with a lot of sense and the responsiblity to state things as they are - keeping the stock market on an even keel is far more critical than the illusions of misguided and uninformed currency traders.

BTW: It is important to understand that the market is not moved by the stupid and that in fact the plays seen are most rational. The USD needs a bit of correction to its value at this time especially since a rise to far too fast will just send the economy right back into the biggest mf depression you ever did see.

Yellen will say just the opposite tomorrow and say that they are staying on course like she had promised.Don't forget tomorrow is Friday.Personally,with all the turmoil,I wouldn't be going Long on the Euro before The Chairman speaks if you are a longer term trader.

If Yellen says something IR hike tomorrow, we will see EU at 1.23. And stocks market will plunge below 15K.

We are not sure yet if US economy can survive IR hike. So rate will stay low, and maybe QE will continue.

This guy Bullard makes a lot of sense.
Different members of the FOMC or any other Central Bank will comment differently on all issues. This creates small/big movements in currencies. Keep doing it.
We as traders have learnt to adapt to such situations and benefit from the movements.

You are absolutely 100% on the money. There is a slight chance that the EUR/USD could go as high as 1.31000 or a little higher before coming back down. But we shall see.

I know that the EUR/USD is still in a correction phase to the upside and I bought it up today and am sure glad that I did

It just seems at times like these underlings are trying to either upstage, or undermine Yellen. There should be a rule, if you will, at the Fed that only the chairperson is allowed to make official statements, thus keeping the different district heads quiet. If they have an idea or recommendation, take it to the chairperson, not the press.
What you don't seem to understand is that Yellen doesn't call the shots anymore than the President directs foreign policy. The team (of which Bullard is a part) calls the shots.

Then again judging by your emotion to your poor little trade losses, you probably have no idea what you are doing anyway.

Not sure who your comments are directed at, but I will try to help you. Yellen does in fact call the shots. Her words are the only important ones to listen to. I will repeat my statement from earlier, and that is that no matter what any underling says, if it doesn't come from Yellen, it doesn't matter. Just like your reference to our president. Members of Congress can run there mouth about anything they want, but until it is passed by a majority vote, and signed by the president, it is just talk. The president has the final word. (Not getting into vetoes and filibusters, just keeping it simple for you) Not sure why that is so hard for you to grasp, but it is just that simple.

As far as your second comment, that just seems like more of the same rubbish we have seen from you elsewhere. I can find no one on this board who has claims of any loses, though I am sure there were some, as you too lose more than you would like, so whatever you are hinting at, is pointless, and probably should have just been kept to yourself.

Anyway, I hope all is clear for you now, but if not, please let me know, and I'll try to make it a little simpler for you as some are slower than others, and I wouldn't want you to feel as though we are trying to talk over the grasp of your reading comprehension. How did you read what I wrote, twice, just for you, and still make such asinine statements. Either your grasp of the English language, reading comprehension, or both, is lacking greatly. Once again, slowly, so hopefully you'll get it. The FOMC makes decisions, but only Yellen's comments count, as she is the final words of the matter. Who cares what each individual member has to say.
The illustration I used about Congress is simple. I don't care where Senator X or Senator Y is from, or how they intend to vote on a certain bill, until after the bill is past, their thoughts and comments are just that, nothing more. Until the President signs a bill into law, there is no law. So, the President has the last word on the matter (once again, baring a filibuster). I just can't make it any plainer, but just for you, next time I'll use my Crayolas and comic strip boards.

Just for curiosity sake, how did Jordan end up in your comments? Darwinism getting a little too tight of a grip? That just seemed like an odd matter to introduce into this conversation, but I guess if you can't understand big boy topics, games are always useful to get a point across. I am glad to be called "nobody". It is an honor I really don't deserve, as everyone feels that "nobody", which is now me I guess, is smarter than them. This may explain the situation of your not being able to grasp the basic concept of how members and leadership of an organization work, and the roles of each, since "nobody" is smarter than you, it infuriates you that you can't attain such simple knowledge.
