lol...must be some really thin markets. Or the market makers just hammered some longs. Just more proof that selling the rallies is the way to go with Aussie!

Funny how when you people are long AUD and bad data comes and it goes up it's all about price action, but when you're short and bad data comes and it goes down it's all about the data. How's are your accounts in the long term... my bet is they are in the red.

I find it quite funny that A/U has sold off nearly 80pips on retail data. In fact, I don't think that's the reason at all. The trend changed (for me personally based on how I trade) when the daily candle closed below .9200 at the beginning of September. Also, I always tell people to trade price action and ignore the actually news numbers...News is just there to get the price moving, Good news doesn't mean price will go up and vice versa. Cheers!

Based just on your statement alone, I never lose a trade.

If I am long, and the price goes up, I win.
If I am short, and the price goes down, I win.

So, go back and study what you just said, then you'll see why PA works more times than not. On and never bet on red. It's bad luck. ;D

I remember Glenn Stevens mentioning quite some time back that 0.8500 was the exchange rate that RBA was looking at. Seems to be coming true.
Just like in the case of EURUSD. ECB (Draghi) wanted euro lower and they have it.
The Big guys(Central Banks) always get what they want.

As indicated elsewhere and having been in the forefront of calling this trend (when the more inexperienced actually thought they were trading a rising AUD) I shall from this point on give some indication from time to time of actual levels both intraday and longer-term. Just to share my profound insights based on an approach alternative to the trite disciplines.

Intraday: Circa 0.86615 - 0.86491 should absorp (stanch) the selling and return the pair to range with an upper limit of circa 0.87354 (resell level intraday).

Longer-term: We maintain our key objective of 0.69000 and find the behavior of the new monthly candle in cohort consistent with sustained downfalling and 0.80940 doable. There is of course always a chance of some corrective play at some point but nothing emergent in that sense noticed at this time.

Read your statement again. If I am long, and the price goes up, I win. If I am short, and the price goes down, I win. It's just like you said. That is how to profit at Forex. The only difference with PA is you don't really care about the stupid news, as it is usually just a short blip on the radar, and then it's back to business as usual. Other than something like another 9/11, there is really no news that is going to flip the market on it's heels. The news that came out last night only caught me by surprise, as I forget to check what was on the calender. After the little stint was over, it was back to the trend, and I have cashed in five short AUD positions since then. So, when you say that if the data......who cares? The news and data they produce is going to do something, but not with any lasting results. Follow PA trading, and you'll be ahead of at least 50% of the people on FF. Don't believe it, watch Friday just before the NFP comes out. They'll be on here squawking like hens, trying to figure out whether to "gamble" on black or red. There is no strategy to that. It's just pure luck. The hedges and the MM see what the average retailer is speculating, and they will try to go against it all the time. That is why 95% fail. They gamble instead of trade.

No. Let me say this again. If i am long and the price goes up, I win. Understand? If I am short, and the price goes down, I win. Understand? Now, please enlighten all of us on how you do it, as that would be very interesting, to say the least. If you can't follow what I am saying, go read your original statement again. You'll see that you were criticizing us for following PA stating "Funny how when you people are long AUD and bad data comes and it goes up it's all about price action, but when you're short and bad data comes and it goes down it's all about the data. " That was your statement. We trade trends. If the news goes with us, we ride the tide. If it's going against us, we buy a new position at the other end, then ride it back, with the original. Understand? I told you that news does not matter. It is nothing more than a blip, and then the trend continues. Usually, if I catch it in time, I'll add another position, just to catch more pips. I just don't understand why this is so hard for you to follow, since it was you that made the statement to begin with. Oh well. You keep doing it the way you're doing it, and I wish you well. I will give you some advice. If you are in a long position, and the price goes down, and you think that that is good, you are doing it wrong.

Every trader starts with a different mindset, unfortunately most want either a auto (bot) to do their thinking for them or a "guru" to tell them when to trade.....sad really...

in the trade algo's are used to identify forthcoming positions, the trader makes the conscious decision to enter the trade not the algo

& FYI the fine for unlicensed advising when to enter or exit trades is seriously nasty max being $20mil......& a traders licence is NOT an advisor's licence .....

WHAT? I would not advertise that too loudly. Oh yeah, and the whole jackass thing. I'll let that one slide since you're a newbie and all. Just don't let it happen again. If you have been on here for that long, and still can't grasp how longs and shorts work, there may not be help for you. Plus, I didn't know that the length of time spent as a member of a website qualifies you as a better trader, but I'll let you stick with that concept. SMH

Wow, a whole 2.5 years. That's impressive. You must be so proud. Well, pride don't pay the bills, rookie, so start learning how to trade, and when you get twenty years under your belt, call me. I'll let you in on some more information.

that's easy name a regulatory body,
controls for traders moonlighting is very tight,
my predecessor decided to make some personal trades whilst @ work.......

result = blacklisted, lost licence & fined £800k

I'm not talking about who fines someone. I was asking if you knew someone on this sight that was giving out signals. So far, I haven't seen anyone, except the news articles themselves.

Sounds good to me. Been doing just that for quite a while now, and I must say, it's a fine choice to make. Happy Trading.

I have met some very fine traders on this site over the years, but you're right, some of the "gurus" are risky, at best. It's like anywhere else. You learn who to listen to, and who to just cut up with, but never follow their advice. Some may be long on AUD right now. They should be back around early spring. LOL

I always find it strange they charge for their advice, yet if they were as good as they say they are why would they not be trading......most are unlicensed
& running their sites from countries without serious regulatory bodies

personally I know their are some very simple methods & fairly solid indicators in the retail sector that should allow you to double your account on a weekly basis

I remember you were calling for buying a couple of months ago when the pair was above 93. at that time i told you that month's short weekly strong short, do you remember???
Ignored

There where multiple people who told me to short months ago. But yes, I was bullish on Aussie for most of the year since it was trending up and then consolidated sideways. And if you recall, I also kept saying that once price closed below .9200 on the daily I would change to bearish and sell the rallies. That's just how my trading style/method works. I'm typically not the first one in at the beginning of a trend change.

The Crow was another one saying to short a month or two ago....so credit to both of you and anyone else who shorted. Many pips to all!

Looks like we hit some resistance around .8725ish...which happens to be the 1hr 50ma. I'm short again at .8720, no more than 25pips risk on this trade and looking for 30-50pips profit.

update: I was hoping to be in some profit before US news release at 10am. But I'm not, so I just closed for -5pips.

Alright, got the news spike out of the way...price doesn't look like it's breaking yesterday's highs and it's almost rallied it's normal daily range, so I'm short again at .8734.

Yeah, I brought out the old surf board, and am now riding smoothly back in with a fresh tan, and a smile on my face. Let's hope it continues until......2017.

lol...nice!

This trade is working out MUCH better than the first. I like it when price goes in your direction fairly quickly instead of consolidating. Already up 20pips!

I didn't get to Hang 10....just 15pips after that bounce up in price. Price seemed to range between .8700-8750 this afternoon. Waiting for the next setup.

Yeah, I shut down and took a nap. Just got too slow and boring. LOL I think I will stay clear now until Monday, as the market is just a little crazy right now, and I have some honey-do's to get done.

I got stopped out 3x trying to short the Aud around 94c... but eventually the battle was won

Our economy is completely screwed
Our government has destroyed consumer confidence
Unemployment rising
Housing bubble & Low Iron ore demand

God help us if china has problems within the next 1-2 years

AUD will be completely toast

On a bright note, Mr. Stevens says a weak Aussie is good for the country.
