Are the Indian bookmakers taking bets on Roy getting out of jail? might be worth a punt.

Should Macedonia place its bets on Subrata Roy’s Sahara to create Las Vegas at Ohrid, or freeze its dreams of a Ski Resort ?

Just like with the Microsoft financial dept. employee convicted of trading on insider information, netting more than $200,000 personal gain, and not having to liquidate his estate to cough up the money as a penalty, and getting only two years in jail,....free room and board, and free health care and free dental care, etc........

......where is the punishment?

Conformity of society in raising the standards of mercy to the white collar criminals is the undoing of all past great societies.

Conformity in other areas too. You can bet if 100 rockets suddenly fell on NYC, the USA would not bother to send negotiators to Egypt, just as Israel has not. But things need to change more drastically so the world does not slip further into "conforming" to the idea that shelling Israel is just another normal event as the world turns.

Better would be for Israel to announce that with 1,911 dead civilians in Gaza already, it is obvious that is not a safe place for peace loving, innocent people to remain, and that they will evacuate all to the West Bank before shelling Gaza and then bulldozing it back into the Mediterranean Sea.

Stop with the conformity that is, and always has been, destructive to the high ideals and labors that built successful societies.
