I understand everyone has their own opinion...for me, until Aussie closes below .9200 on the daily chart, I'll be buying dips. I also understand that is 200pips away and some might say you'll miss a lot of pips to the downside. However, I typically use 25pip stops or less...so my losses won't be that big. And I doubt it drops 200pips straight down...so if the trend does happen to change, I'll be able to exit with minimal loss on some type of pullback.

You always have to have a plan for winning and losing trades! Happy Trading!

They didn't run the .93815 level earlier today but they did get the NY lows so I'll watch for a run on the 93815 before considering a long on the aud/usd.

I'm looking at the 4hr 50ma at .9390 where price is now, but I'm not confident that will hold. The 4hr 200ma at .9370ish is more tempting for an entry area imho(which isn't far from your view).

It's possible, but I'd use a small stoploss...20pips or less IF I were going to take the trade. However, I think we'll see it go lower so I'm not taking it.

Well, long at .9350 last week turned out to be a good trade. Looks like the market is providing another dip opportunity for buying....we have aussie having dropped near to it's normal ADR, we have short term oversold conditions, it seems to have found support at the 4hr 200ma, and we have prior support around .9330-50 areas from June 18th and July 3rd-4th. Longing at .9365 with a relatively small s/l ijust in case it wants to continue short. Never risk more than you can accept losing!

My sentiment hasn't changed. I still don't see AUD rising rapidly in the short term, at least not till Stevens stop jaw-boning the pair or a rate hike is mentioned, or USD collapses.

In the meantime, one could focus on building longs for the mid to longer term with possible pullbacks into the .92+ - .93+ area.

Anyway, trade safe!

I'm a short term trader and in this market I wish I knew a strategy for long term trading because on the daily bases the market doesn't move as much as it did a couple of years ago, I'm to afraid to stay in the market long term and get myself down 25 plus pips before realizing I'm wrong. But all the big moves nowadays take place over days or weeks but are to risky for me.
