Start the Countdown: Fed to Start Raising Rates in a Year — WSJ Survey
The Federal Reserve will likely begin raising interest rates at a gradual pace in June of 2015 after leaving them near zero for an unprecedented six-and-a-half years, according to the median estimate of economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal. That outlook is based on the assumption among most of the 48 private economists surveyed June 6-10 that the U.S. economy will post a strong second half after a shaky start to 2014.
