US durable goods orders preview
The Commerce Department reports on business orders for durable goods in April. The report will be released at 8:30 a.m. EDT Tuesday. ORDERS PAUSE: The expectation is that following two strong months of gains, orders will slip by 0.7 percent in April, according to a survey of economists by FactSet. MANUFACTURING STRENGTH: In March, orders posted a solid gain of 2.9 percent while a key category that signals business investment plans rose 3.5 percent, the biggest surge in four months.
