What To Expect From ECB? - Goldman, BofA, Citi, BMO, CS, BNPP, & Others
The following are the expectations for today's ECB May policy decision by the economists at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Citi, BNP Paribas, Barclays Capital, and other leading banks. GS: We expect rates on hold (at 0.25%, same as consensus and previous). Looking further ahead, we expect the ECB to reinforce its current policy stance should financial conditions tighten undesirably. Judging from its latest statements, the hurdle for further action is low and, on this basis, we judge there to be a 40% probability of a cut in policy rates and/or liquidity measures in the coming months. ...
