I write to force myself to figure out various trading & strategy questions. This one started as collection of evidence that opposes current consensus, and defines what data points to watch in order to anticipate Fed moves and thus moves of EURUSD and other pairs.

The evidence raised needs to get stronger before I'd start preparing trade plans based on it - so I haven't decided yet if market is underestimating Fed pace of tightening - watching for signs of labor slack and inflation.

Foreign policy issues raised not likely to be decisive, sort of a bonus if Fed already leaning to tighten earlier.

low rates will remain as long as FOMC remains dovish. Fed governors appointed, and Washington likes dovish FOMC – allows more public spending/vote buying.
