    German's will understand Russia's drive to re unite. Crimea will remain Ukrainian, Tatar. Crimea must belong to strong state, must be Russia. Russia not seeking to split up Ukraine. Russia, Ukraine could lose Crimea in future to NATO. Kiev is the mother of Ukrainian cities. Crimea's choice saved peninsula from NATO. We want friendship with strong , sovereign Ukraine. All Russia enthralled with Crimean's bravery. Russia will never seek confrontations in west/east.

The US has a naval base in Darwin Australia...what would happen if the People of Darwin decided to succeed from Australia and voted to join the US? Then The US sent its military there to "protect" and "Keep the peace" in Darwin and the Northern Territories?

Wouldn't that be considered an invasion? Why isn't this any different. Crimea is a STATE within the sovereign nation of Ukraine. They cannot vote themselves into another country. The people can move to another country but the borders of a sovereign country are recognized by international law and must be respected.
