It should gap down. But last week market always acted oppositely so this may shot up EU....
But these double minded bitches were saying they would act if needed all the time but at the press conference Mr. Draghi just ignored everything and became optimistic. Now again they are babbling... Pathetic....

No expectations of a gap either way, from me. Even if it gaps, it will probably fill the gap. Why? Because they've been saying this for quite some time now. The market has already discounted this kind of talk. Just watch what it does...
Why do banks continuing to say they have tools. Only tools they have are to buy debt and cut rates, and when the ECB has waiting this long, what are they waiting for?

I don't see his permission. He said ECB was ready, but we don't know when it starts.

A permission would have been "ECB will start bla bla bla...." Even then when there is no specific dates, then the effect will be short term.

ECB just cut rates a month ago. What makes you think they will cut again before they see what effect the last cut will have? A rate cut takes time to work its way to the real economy... sometimes as long as 6 months. Draghi and the boys have been very slow in acting and are examining everything right down to the smallest detail. On top of that, the inflation projections are not that bad even though they are well below target. ECB has never been aggressive and they are not about to start now.

Their biggest issue right now is growth, but that is a fiscal responsibility, not a monetary one. The mandate of the ECB is only price stability. Prices are somewhat stable so there is not much else for them to do. As soon as indicators go outside their comfort zone, I am sure they will act.

One more thing in regards to the Euro exchange rate. It is true that a higher exchange rate vs the USD has the potential of increasing downside economic risk as EZ exports outside the EZ will suffer, but the ECB knows that the Fed will soon taper their QE3 program and so I think they will wait to see what effect that has on the exchange rate as well as the sovereign bond market in the EZ periphery.

no but that is a scenario ...i will keep in the pocket...
I'm good at being on the wrong side sometimes especially LT (long term)...like at the moment I'm short the Euro..but will sell more shorts into strong rallies and higher levels...no choice but bring avgs. up or get out...but the pain is not big enough...yet ..and if mkt is heading south for one reason or the other ..I collect......in the meantime I scalp to ease the pain....
