    Gold lost $25 in two minutes on Friday morning, as the gold market experience a massive surge in volume that triggered a halt in the middle of the plunge. The move took gold down to a three-month low, and was felt across the commodity markets. And incredibly, a single sell order could be the culprit. "It appears to have been an order to sell 5,000 gold futures contracts at market," Eric Hunsader of Nanex told CNBC.com, when asked to explain the swift move at 8:42 a.m. EDT. this is typical of electronic trading where you cannot see who is on the other side of the trade. meaning that if you cannot see market depth and order size then you are trading "blind" (even volume can tell lies). you might be going straight against a central bank with an order a few million times bigger than yours, in which case you get blown away. last time I traded gold was long at $1515 in 2011. gold trend is so obviously short now that going long is like standing on the tracks in front of a locomotive running at you. you may get lucky and escape once or twice, but eventually you will get mowed down. there is no support for gold. central banks don't need gold to print money. gold is history.

Gold is at the strongest support, ever, only a fool would not buy it right now. TP at 3000.00!
Commodity prices are in the eye of the beholder. Women in India thought gold made them look pretty. I guess now, not so much.

You really struggle with reading charts and support don't you....
What do you think will happen when the world becomes like Zimbabwe because of this "easy option" printing that gold is not needed for?

It seems with every passing week/month, the arguments against holding gold are becoming more and more shallow and outrageous

It's entertaining watching Ben, GS, JPM and others declaring Gold as pretty much irrelevant.
Same thing happened before Nixon stole the Gold. All the big investment houses said Gold was dead.
Being removed from the Gold standard was seen by "experts" as making Gold pretty much worthless.
What happened to Gold value when inflation started to climb soon afterwards??
Can't buy food and groceries with Gold, can't eat Gold, not used in manufacturing.

What logical excuse are we going to hear next?
Gold is too valuable to even throw at crooks who try and rob me? For my Gold? lol.....

Try telling Gold bugs who bought Gold in 07-08 as this crisis unfolded and a scaling or are scaled out of their positions that they are not better off than Joe with his money in the bank earning zero and going backwards.
