Why is it a fraud? This is how free floating currencies work on the foreign exchange.

what is wrong with people? Yen weakening has been expected long time ago when Abe said they will continue QE. Why yen go down suddenly? I don't get it.

No news again. The plan was already discussed:

Government officials say they are considering a reduction to 35.64% as part of a stimulus package of up to ¥5 trillion ($50.27 billion) to fight the effects of raising the sales tax to 8% from 5%. Both rate changes would take effect next April 1, the start of the fiscal year.

The cut would reduce companies' annual tax burden by ¥900 billion, based on a calculation using finance-ministry data. It would be achieved by ending a disaster-reconstruction surcharge, established after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, a year earlier than planned. The sales-tax increase, meanwhile, is expected to take ¥8 trillion a year from consumer's pockets.

The forex market always looks fraudulent to the undersourced retail trader. Follow a mentor that manges millions. That $1200 bloomberg fee makes them
That much more ahead of you. That live audio squawk box yep thats another step above you. The list goes on and on...

As I mentioned several times over the past couple years, UJ was always going to hit 100, it just needed something to kick it off....and Abe was the one who did it. But it will take a lot more that "2% inflation with 2 years", and "three arrows' rhetoric to repair a fundamentally flawed economy....HAHAHAHAHA

Agreed realjumper, Abe has created a monster indeed. But no worse than the rest of the world. G/J back to 251... LOL.

I only wish I wasn't working out when this report came out. Short-term trading sucks!

There's very little demand for Yen, because Abe and Kuroda are supplying so much of it to the market.......but there is a consequence for that......question is, can Abe cope with what comes later? HAHAHA

one good advice I found is NEVER LEVERAGE too much. Market will go up and down and back up again .And if you leverage too much your stop will be taken out before it turn into profit.

Learn to read price and important S/R levels, ignore the news. Manipulated or not, it works when using proper risk-to-reward. It's actually pretty easy.

So it wasn't the news from Japan's media that caused yen to fall and the Nikkei to reverse its fall to be up 1.2% from a drop of 1.4%?

How about you Hoops? what do you see in UJ? it looks like there's retracement in progress.

Tapering refers to Bernanke and The Fed continuing to buy bonds and pump $85 billion a month into the market. The fear is that when the tapering process starts (ie: a gradual reduction in purchases), equities and other asset classes will take a hit as liquidity will be removed from the market.
