Household spending and business fixed investment advanced, and the housing sector has been strengthening, but mortgage rates have risen further and fiscal policy is restraining economic growth. Apart from fluctuations due to changes in energy prices, inflation has been running below the Committee's longer-run objective, but longer-term ... (full story)

Everyone one who listens to headlines and believes Europe is just going to give up the Euro without a battle. It's not going to happen! Euro is going to be around for a long, long time to come! Regardless of what trouble they are in.

This is why this business is considered the 2nd riskiest business in the world. See out of nowhere Dollar bites the dust. However, you never know what happens next. All you have to do is buy at support and sell at resistance and then expect the best.

congrats to the dude who called S&P 1723 as his target much earlier today! it's on the rising trendline on the tops on D1 (I reckoned it needs to get there in a hurry, like this week, and it did just that). I am aiming even higher, but maybe it will come back for a retest.

Love American traders too....

QE= BUY,
NO QE = BUY
Fiscal cliff = BUY
No cliff = BUY
employment drop 500,000 = BUY
employment increase 1000 = BUY
War = BUY
no war = BUY
Aliens invade earth = BUY
Aliens decided to leave humans alone and returns = BUY

Quite easy to predict the direction tho.

No politicking here, man! Why is just has to be the President? When the cities and States and doing well, mayors and Governors line up themselves on the air waves to pour out nonsense; "I did this and that for my region, that why my region is okay"; now things are falling apart..people pointing at the President...Go to Europe to learn..all advanced countries have respectable healthcare... only USA is missing in the action.....

Because of pressure being put on businesses and middle class? This isn't "respectable healthcare" and you're right, look at Europe, we are doing the exact same thing! And you wonder... Just keep spending I guess - that'll fix everything. His policies have a lot to do with the economy! I'm neither Demo or Rep, I do see a problem though. What government run program can you name that is being run efficiently? Oh, wait! There isn't one! They don't care, its not their money! If it doesn't work, keep throwing money at it. Let the future deal with it.

Let's recap for a moment here the Fed has created a $16.9 trillion dollars debt a 99-year old PONZI which has led the U.S. to a financial collapse for several obvious economic & political factors. The Fed is just a private corporation super state bank acting to exploit and to control the world created by the wealthiest families about 100 years. By the end of 2013 you will see another financial bubble 'the worse to come' destroying the middle class.... a dollar is worth now 4 cents just crunch the numbers. The Fed solution has always resolved our economical problems by re-inflating the economy and making it seem all too goody on the superficial. Now, a part from that most of the developing countries are ditching the dollar and what is more scarier is that most growing economies are ditching the dollar as well because of its devaluation. So, in summary if the U.S. dollar will no longer be the world's reserved currency YOUR life style will change, this is what those unscrupulous bankers at the Fed should be announcing instead of sugar coating everything but then again the truth is always ugly and the masses usually are always taken by surprise. The question is what would the International Monetary Fund will do? Find a global currency of course... and kiss Wall Street goodbye. Knock yourself arguing in disbelief but I guess you just have to look around if you live in the U.S. where the unemployment rate has soared, $1.2 tillion dollars in outstanding student loans, and so on...I just wonder how all of this will play out for us as retail FX traders and the FX market when the time comes to get out of Dodge? What's plan B? Foreign Real Estate?

Because of pressure being put on businesses and middle class? This isn't "respectable healthcare" and you're right, look at Europe, we are doing the exact same thing! And you wonder... Just keep spending I guess - that'll fix everything. His policies have a lot to do with the economy! I'm neither Demo or Rep, I do see a problem though. What government run program can you name that is being run efficiently? Oh, wait! There isn't one! They don't care, its not their money! If it doesn't work, keep throwing money at it. Let the future deal with it....

I don't know if I did mistake, but I entered EURUSD long at 1.35 when it bounced back from 1.353. I think Asian market has to react to today's news and it must take to 1.3580 on Asian market.

What do you think?

You're absolutely right. Let's keep spending trillions of dollars more than our GDP. Things are looking better: unemployment, food stamps, welfare, disability, bigger government, free healthcare now. We must be on the right track. Europe? Hell, it pays not to work anymore.

Not so fast guys....as yes USD is headed for the basement - but we "trade" here right?

You'd have to expect a reasonable bounce in coming days.

Look for a "daily swing low" and plan on at least a couple solid days of USD reversing before continued journey South!

Dollar is not coming back. Its gone. You would have to wait until march 2014 or some huge event. Minor reversal is normal but complete reversal is almost impossible for now.

This is for traders, in INSURANCE there are three kinds of people
1. Risk Avatars
2. Risk Avoiders
3. Risk Takers
Numbers 1&2 above as regards fx trading is to be at the tip of the news release, see the Angle move the water before jumping in for your miracle (placing a trade)
While number 3 is to place a pending order based on rumor or gambling economic public office holders that will shock you n drown your hard earned invested fonds

Imagine if you buy everything available in a mall. The question is, what will your house become?
I demand an answer from a longer bull

It becomes an auction house.

The bigger question is, how much money you can spend which you have unlimited access to. Either by robing others, taxing pimps and multiple other sources. Theres always another mall to visit and always another source of income plan. Its never ending story till either : A.murdered or B.suicide.

Hey guys....

As we all know in Forex "nothing moves in a straight line" ( or at least not for too long ) so..............

The correlation of USD down / "Risk on" Up is clearly back in play here.

After such a large move ( especially in the world's reserve currency ) the counter trend move should be equally staggering. This is now a given , as debt ceiling talks / Gov shut down will be next up to bat.

Short term traders should just sit on their hands a day er two....and let USD make a turn ( look for a "swing low" on $dxy daily" as soon as tomorrow ) and catch trades LONG USD.

USD is going to zero sure........but near term - the bounce / fundamentals in risk comg off / pull back in equities etc.....sets up right in front of your face.

NZD for example - super over bought.

GBP as well - Boom.....

The only reason iam trading and a pure DAY TRADER . Dont care where its heading 2moro, next week or next month. Theres always another "market event" and also never bother to entertain "fund-a-mentalists". Lifetime failure "traders" always has lots of time on hand writing loads of nonsenses.

- Happy trading.

Anybody has thoughts about Tapering? According to Ben B, Tapering not yet because unempl.rate still high 7.3. from its target 6.5.
6.5 seems 'Unidealistic' for me in the US.
If it doesn't reach the target 6.5, they are not going to Taper...but they stated it would end by mid 2014.

- How about Fed continue buying bonds to boost the economy ? It will lead the US Debt-ridden country....and destroy the economy even more ??
- Or, by mid 2014, FED will 'anyhow' taper QE even not reaching the target ?

Any psyche here....?

Going by the theory of time value for money and turnover on investment. How much profit have you made since July where fundamental rumors says buy and actual news says sell?

They will taper sooner than later and as much as needed to overcome the(postponed) Fiscal Cliff since second agreement would be just too much.

That's very unfair, he's just a human like you, you only need to be extra careful in your method of trading and stop being a head long risk taker.
That as cost me fortune in the past, but not any more.

you missed my point by a mile and a whale to boot..anyway humour is different things to different people..whether one is a headlong risk taker or arseshort risk averse(humour humour here) the taper wont be happenning soon..taper will only happen after two things..one short term and the other long term..succesful debt ceiling negotiations in congress but perhaps most important..the LONG TERM unemployment proving its on a SUSTAINABLE dip..in the meanwhile Bernanke is deciding whether its a Gillette razor or Phillips Intellishaver..hehe
