If Bern realy tapering the QE what will happen to JPY will become strong?I have read that if the 85B still in placed the JPY will go to the south, is it right?kindly advice

I cannot speak confidently about what will happen tonight, but think like this:

Tapering will mean a stronger USD as a direct implication of less Dollar printing. We should see USD pairs go up across-the-board - and therefore a weaker JPY: ie USDJPY up and JPY index down.

Abenomics has implemented a massive foreign (US) bond buying programme so it will be interesting to see what happens to T-Bond price and yield after today.

Should there be no tapering (surprise) or another unexpected proposal then the effects will be mixed, but an increase in volatility (based on mixed expectations) should definitely be the result.

Either way, the Fed has historically always done the wrong thing at the wrong time, so I bearishly expect longer term market turmoil.

You're overthinking this...

Ben Bernanke's term will be over by the end of the year. He will NOT start tapering too soon and will allow his replacement to do the tapering.

Tapering will not start until December 2013 and will be gradual...

What if he say "economy is doing very good and QE will end soon"

@fxsport, you may well be correct in saying Bernanke does not want to change course during his tenure, but he may have been outvoted by his detractors in the committee. Should he announce no taper and another quarter of pro-stockmarket policy then he shoot himself in the foot, because it is consensus by now that QE is exhibiting diminishing returns.
As Evans-Pritchard writes in the article: if Bernanke obliges big business one more time - he will be going against the worried recommendations of his gang - and we know what the guys in suits do to their cohorts who are perceived as weak or failing - they turn on them and destroy them to make themselves look powerful and to usurp the empty seat.

Dramatic I know, but I think the moment is that serious. Thing is, does Benjamin know this?
