MARCH KEY POINTS TREND ESTIMATES (MONTHLY CHANGE) Employment increased to 11,599,900. Unemployment increased to 672,000. Unemployment rate remained steady at 5.5% from a revised February 2013 estimate. Participation rate steady at 65.1%. Aggregate monthly hours worked increased to 1,628.1 million hours. SEASONALLY ADJUSTED ESTIMATES (MONTHLY CHANGE) Employment decreased 36,100 (0.3%) to 11,592,700. Full-time employment decreased 7,400 to 8,111,300 and part-time employment decreased 28,700 to 3,481,500. Unemployment increased 25,900 (3.9%) to 686,900. How can we trade so differently while we call each other traders?

in a situation whereby almost everybody is blind, one-eyed man is the king..that's what is happening to AUD...some major currencies are printing money so AUD's way is pointing to the NORTH...any bad data is opp. to buy dip....

If Fx were that easy than everybody would succeed. But the fact majority loss. Aud is already high against usd and adding that today is some dreadful unemployment report. So maximum traders are thinking short audusd.
Hehe he he so it will at first stop hunt those weak short. Than it might go down. But I think it will stay above 1.05 as long as there is a bearish sentiment among the most traders...

May be the reversal or correction has started. But don't expect too much. I think it will stay over 1.05 this week...but anyways short will be best to do this week .. Use stop loss 1.0625

Shorting aud/usd, aud/nzd, aud/cad, aud/jpy buying gbp/aud, eur/aud. This is a straddle technique. If doesn't work, I'll reverse and trade on the direction of the previous trend.

Yes AUD is long still, buy the dip but not until it settles. Look for a 38.2% FIB retracement, entry about 0.9780 for AUDCHF or 1.0480 for AUDUSD.

Looks like now the market is doing the opposite of data result..i remember when the good aussie data was released last week, it was a sell off. Now bad data and it is buy on dip. Strange..

I agree. Fundamentally while other countries devalue their dollar by printing money and the Australia still has the highest interest rate at 3%, who wouldn't want to put their money into the AUD bonds etc. Buying dips is a good thing but reasonable dips, not just the small 50 pip dips if your serious of holding it long for a few hundred pips.

Being short at current levels is o.k. for the short term but get out if you are up 100 pips. At least bring it to Break Even now, if up 50 pips. Nest major news is on the USD tomorrow but AUD I feel will make it's next run higher all of next week.

I don't believe monetary stimulus creates jobs (no need to argue as I have heard it all before). Interest or yield is what foreign traders/investors look for, meaning like Japanese who get zip squat interest on their savings.
