New Zealand housing consents trend rises 50 percent
The trend for the number of new houses consented has risen 50 percent since March 2011, Statistics New Zealand said today. "We've seen continuous steady growth in the trend for the number of new houses consented since March 2011. Over 22 months, the trend has increased by 50 percent," industry and labour statistics manager Blair Cardno said. New housing growth continued in January 2013, with a 9.6 percent increase in the seasonally adjusted number of new non-apartment houses consented.
