German 2012 decrease in retail turnover expected to be about 0.2% in real terms
According to estimates of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), retail turnover in Germany is expected to be in nominal terms between 1.9% and 2.1% larger than in 2011. In real terms turnover is expected to decrease by between 0.1% and 0.3%. This estimation is based on data for the first eleven months of 2012. In this period retail turnover was in nominal terms 2.3% larger and in real terms equal to that (0.0%) in the corresponding period of the previous year. According to provisional data turnover in retail trade in November 2012 was in nominal terms 1.6% larger and in real terms 0.9% smaller ... (full story)
