It's Friday and a crucial day for the Aud on the weekly chart. Inability to break higher today will send it south. The upward trend line currently in place is key.

The 4hr bar currently running is also important. Ending in a pin will most certainly point to weakness and could send the Aud south by close of this bar.

Its currently struggling to hold its position, let us see what happens at close of this hour.

1.0398 is kind of resistance right now.

I wouldn't bet against the AUD. In fact, since RBA kept interest rates the same this week, is a testament that RBA is comfortable with the Aussie economy. I believe the floor is at 1.0370 and any further strong signs from China would spur the AUD to 1.05.

1.06 (200 pips) by the end of today? Based on what catalysts? Why do you keep assuming ridiculous price movements every day? I guess that's why you keep losing money.

Problem with short EUR is that it already has had some sharp movements down. Support is somewhere between 1.2715 to 1.2722 with some indicators actually showing up oversold. In saying that there's not much buyers above 1.28 so this trade doesn't really give the risk vs reward factor i'm looking for in a trade.

On a macro level we have the ECB and BOE (still effects Europe sentiment as a whole) advising the push for austerity which actually drives a currency up especially while US is happy to keep pushing QE. Some people may disagree on this but its really not that complicated to work out.

I would still focus on long term sell on AUD - BUT it will be a yo-yo and great for trading dips and booms. Realistically, for Aust. to be competitive the rate needs to be around .95 although at 3.25% this will not happen anytime soon bar a correction.

why dont all of you interpret aud will cross 1.06 by today.....why?
coz here r gathered who short the aud....but this fx market....it will opposite what u except...

Just shows how out of touch the RBA is....USA & Europe heading for major economic collapse with overburdened debt levels....Aussie will follow with the contraction in demand for resources....Aud heading to 98c & lower over next 3 months
