Bernake's approach is always the same: The economy isn't well, quick, let's throw money at!!

Someone take the money printer away from that guy.

Listen to his voice quack like a duck while he talks. Even he is not confident that more money printing will work - it has not helped up to now. this is a political pressure move trying to get Obama re elected

The markets have already priced in most of that QE3...and with every QE it becomes less effective. This entire house of cards will collapse, and it will end once the rest of the world will abolish the US$ as the world's reserve currency.

Last time that happened (to the Sterling) that currency depreciated by around 80%. I really don't envy people getting paid in US$. Getting paid in CHF ftw!!

Well, I do, and many others. Why do you call somebody with an opinion "a dumbass"? Do you prefer so and so advice like GS, etc? I have an opinion because I do my own analysis and I believe it. I don't I am wrong to do it. The market doesn't follow my analysis, that's fine. Do you think market will always follow my analysis? I don't expect that. But I will still do it.

Bernanke just said that the FED DOES NOT HAVE the tools to ward off the impact of a US FISCAL CLIFF. What are the chances of going over the cliff ? 100% .

I like Bernanke - I think he is an astute macro-manager and very principled too. What with all that political pressure and threats to his job from the right? Another thing most people do not understand is that he just changed the political dynamic by handing america it's real and now ONLY election issue of substance - the economy - which unfortunately with his sleek delivery Obama is more suited to win. Of course all the right wing extremists would here (in the Forex) and there (politics) call him names - but he is in fact a patriot with only time on his side. He has done a swell job.

PS: For real - not just because my pocket is swelling.

Romney already lost the election imo...he and Ryan are such open corporate sock puppets, I doubt they stand a chance. Not if they continue to lie as blatantly while the media is (FINALLY!!) holding them accountable...

Yup You're right jagonzalez
We can guess more accurately about the price movement when fundamental stays out of the business. Getting more pips in a safer way than this week did.
It's just sometimes I find a little bit amusing on how traders debate about something that "unnecessary" and doesn't have any relation to our trading goal which is making profit.
Hope you make a lot pip today....

I think, IF there is any correction, it will not be back to the range 1725 - 1735. I don't even think gold will go under 1750 anymore in these days. It's more likely gold will test 1792, as this is the highest price in 2012, just before gold drop in last February. But please don't trade upon my opinion only. Better monitor our chart closely and watch to the price changing cause everything is a little bit "abnormal" lately. Surprises happen... The safer way is following the trend not our opinion, as trader is better without opinion, right?

As for me, if there's a very strong fundamental (strong impact news) such as QE3, put aside technical....
Correction surely will happen, but can't drag the price far enough. See your chart now, gold is moving up right now.
I still think it will test 1792 level, whether today or next week. But just as I said, don't buy that from me only. Just believe what we see with our own eyes

Yao,

Situation like this does come so often, so I have to capitalize on EUR/USD surge. I got it right from 1.2483 so I will hold my LONGS until a strong down turn. I am just buying...my orders are line up from 1.3241 through 1.3281 then another wave of buys from 1.3441 through 1.3481.
There is always a price for promises you don't keep!
