Spain Unemployment Declines In July
Unemployment declined for the fourth consecutive month in July, with declines in construction and industry. Meanwhile, registered unemployment increased in agriculture and services sectors. Spain has the highest unemployment rate in the European Union. The economy contracted 0.4 percent sequentially in the second quarter, dragging it deeper into recession. According to the calculation of statistical office, the Spain unemployment rate reached a record 24.63 percent in the second quarter.
