June sees further marked decrease in Italian services activity
June data pointed to another considerable contraction in services activity in Italy. Employment in the sector fell at a solid and accelerated pace, while expectations of a return to growth in the coming year were the lowest in 2012 so far. This was despite the rate of decline in new business slowing notably on the month. Cost inflation meanwhile eased to the weakest since last November.
