    Just like that, stocks have boomeranged off early session lows. Major stock indexes were down more than 1% all day long. Then the Twittersphere started blowing up a few minutes ago with headlines saying Germany’s Angela Merkel has canceled tonight’s press conference. All of a sudden, stocks bounced back with a vengeance. The Dow is down only 37 points, after earlier dropping more than 160 points. The S&P 500 is down 0.4%. Financial stocks have moved well off earlier lows, while energy and consumer staples have turned positive. It’s unclear how this canceled press conference would have such a positive impact on ... Market bites the dust again, hope that Merkel cancel the confererance to work out the money Germany will pay but market has been fooled many times before. She said NO NO NO a thousand times and market still in daydream.
The market is by definition a chaotic and therefore a non-random system. This means it is "sensitively dependent on initial conditions". So anything from being two goals down to a butterfly flapping its wings, to illiquidity in the current market - fit this definition and can cause the kind of war zone type PA we have been getting. Safest to read footprints at the headwaters of small time frames and trade from that base a while - given we are in a vicious range. When the big boys decide - liquidity will help define the trend.

I hope, I know more about German ladies but I don't ...a little I know is that..they can be forthcoming but don't let that gets into your head..when they are mad...they really MAD! the PIIGS should try to kiss Chancellor Merkel's feet to get some minor concessions rather than asking for the bull's head..that is not going to happen!

Don't under estimate Germany, the euro-zone needs it more than it needs the euro-zone. So, if has to come to the worst, Germany just says "Bye you guys, I go solo". If that the case, the surprise is now shame on the market for underestimated Merkel. She does not need you guys as much as you guys needed her.
