Well some argue that Hollande has been priced in on friday so no movement, but I guess we will see.

The markets are in crash mode and it has nothing to do with the French or Greek elections - what I see is a massive selloff already. Anyone looking for reasons is wasting time. Just sell at any opportunity (all risk).

Show me a daily close below 1.3000 and then I'll start talking about further euro weakness. Until then, the charts still show 1.3000-3300 range!

VALUE OF one PIP
I've come to realize that many Fx traders cannot calculate the value of a pip.
Know it right now!
The formula for calculating the price of 1 pip:

100,000 X ( k )
Current price (without a dot)

Where K= 1 at leverage 1:100
K= 2 at leverage 1:200
K= 0.5 at leverage 1:50
K= 0.25 at leverage 1:25

Examples:

1.GBPUSD = 1.6306 leverage 1:100
100,000/16306 X 1 = 6.13 USD


2.USDJPY = 106.63 leverage 1:200
100,000/10663 X 2 = 18.76 USD


3.EURUSD = 1.4289 leverage 1:50
100,000/14289 X 0.5 = 3.50 USD

The cost of Pip for each currency is different and depends on the leverage and the current quotation.

Hi Fidafrs.
You predicted - on 06/05/2012 - that the EUR would jump downwards and it actually jumped 76 pips. How do you do the calculation to know a currency that will jump?
