Italian exports +0.1% in February
Italian exports practically came to halt in February. The Italian statistics office, Istat, said the monthly figure was up only 0,1% with a year on year increase of 7,3%. Imports increased by 0.8% on an annual basis. The trade balance is in the red for 5.5 billion euros for the first two months of the year, up from an over 9 billion deficit one year earlier. The non-energy trade balance is positive and amounted to 6.5 billion. Monthly figures for exports increased more substantially for durable goods (+2.2%) and non-durable goods (+1.6%) while they were negative for energy products (-8.2%). As for imports, there was ...
