German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy agreed on Thursday to put forward an overall plan to change the EU's treaties. "This is going to restore lost credibility", Nicolas Sarkozy said. Merkel and Sarkozy want to prevent the stability and growth pact's further abuse, they said.
