BOJ Statement on Monetary Policy
At the monetary policy meeting held today, the policy board of the Bank of Japan decided by a unanimous vote, to set the following guidelines for money market operations in the intermeeting period: The Bank of Japan will encourage the uncollateralized overnight call rate to remain around 0.0% to 0.10%. Japan's economic activity has been picking up steadily while the supply side constraints caused by the earthquake disaster have been mostly resolved.
