remember that being in the euro zone does not require to use the euro as currency, and opposite. You can use the euro as currency like the dollar, as long as you believe in it.

This is only one consequence of the European policy of expansion at all costs. It is time for European leaders to think long and hard about their mandates - and who they are there to serve. let us hope that the cost of reforming the Euro-zone doesn't prove prohibitive.

I belive you confused Euro Zone with EuroUnion.
And your Central Bank can print euros and dollars if you believe in them? I doubt that. This is why North Korea is not printing dollars yet...

It is a new round in game of politicians, in 2008 when deficit was 15%, and now only 10%, for next year it is 6%. Somebody is making money, when we are reading this shite !!!!!!

North Korea ARE printing dollars, in bundles. We're gettin better and better to trace them down, but printing Dollars they do.

Greek exit, is one thing, but the left over footprint of debt stays, and does not change the possible domino effect it will have. The effect of a default will be started at such a time of departure.

Will Greece leave, by being pushed out or by own accord, doesn't matter.

It will however bring with it, a demand to leave the EUR currency.

From the standpoint of the EUR currency , this will strenghten the EUR, as, even if the footprint of the Greek failure is still there, it will removed it from creating further future problems for the EUR currency.

For Greece part, by leaving, it will be a renessaince for Greece, right now, Greece ( and other countries in EU as well) have lost it's soverignity, and are told by Brussels what policies to adopt, and what attitude to have, and what is good or bad for them.

When Greece leaves, under whatever condition it will be, there will probably be a big party in Greece, and they will in fact be the first country that manged to break out and regain it's independence from the EU Brussel socialist Troika.

A feat that all by itself is someting to have a party about.

Kicking Greece out will solve nothing. The moment it leaves, Spanish and Italian bonds will spike, forcing Spain and Italy to default. You can bail out Greece, but Spain and Italy are another matter. So Spain and Italy need to go at the same time as Greece.

Of course, this will probably be better for Greece in the long run. In the short and medium term, there will be hardship. But according to the IMF, defaults usually take about two years to work themselves out. The austerity program that Greece is currently facing will probably take about 10-20 years.

Ok, I believe. But are they doing this officially in their national bank? I don't think so. My point was that country which decide to use other country's currency becomes dependant on that country's monetary policy.

I will remind you that, technically, North Korea is still at war with the US. Fighting stopped on a ceasefire and not because any side beat the other. Therefore I would find it entirely likely that N Korea are printing bills as fast as they can. It would not be the first example of this kind of behaviour from one country against another.

I think the consequences of Greece leaving the Euro are far worse, than if they stay in. But what do I know? About as much as this website reporting the news, it seems.

Sadly enough, I suspect that may be wishfull thinking. On a more upbeat note, I am looking forward to the German high court ruling today - with a bit of luck it could render the Greek discussion moot.
